Structure Sensor- Turns your device into a 3D scanner

Occipital is the spatial computing company that has created Structure Sensor (the newer model Mark II) and Structure Core which brings the magic of 3D into the hands of everyone. As the lead UX/UI designer at Occipital, I'm in charge of designing the apps, websites, marketing materials, emails, user manuals and event booth designs.

App Design

Occipital has developed two types of apps for Structure Sensor: One type is the required apps for users to check and calibrate the sensor; the other type is sample apps for users to try all the powerful features provided by the snesor.

Redesign the Calibrator App

Calibrator is an iOS app for Structure Sensor users to calibrate their sensor. All Structure Sensor users need to complete this task before using the sensor. We've received users' feedback on how challenging the calibration process is. We decided to redesign the app and the result is positive. CX reported receiving substantially less emails asking for help.

Redesign the Sample Apps Icons

These apps are for Structure Sensor users to try different features of the Structure Sensor. We want to give them a more visual appealing App Store icon design than just showing the name of the app in text format.

Canvas is an utility app that lets you capture a 3D model of a room on an iPad. Powered by the Structure Sensor, Canvas creates a scale-accurate 3D model of a home in minutes. You can measure, share your model , or convert it into an editable, professional-grade, CAD file.

Marketing Materials

To design the Bridge website, marketing team and I started from brainstorming the content, then I drafted the information architecture of the website, followed by making the wireframes and the high-fidelity prototypes.
